Ectotherm Insulated 12v Heated Jacket (V2.0)

We added carbon fiber heating elements to a kick-ass technical puffy, and the ‘Ectotherm’ was born. The updated V2.0 brings a redesigned lower-profile controller and cable management pocket, plus two new battery-saving modes to extend off-bike capabilities when used with a power bank.

When the wind chill is at its peak, the Ectotherm’s bike-powered 6-panel carbon-fiber 3.5Amps/42w heating system will keep you warm on high alpine passes and long, cold pavement stretches.  When you crawl out of your tent on frigid mornings, the Ectotherm performs as a super warm stand-alone insulator with 100g body-mapped synthetic PrimaLoft Gold insulation with Cross Core Technology.

V2.0's upgraded heat settings include a Low Power Mode, where the heating elements pulse, gradually increasing and decreasing heat, helping maximize battery life when plugged into an external power bank. In Timer Mode, an auto-off setting is activated to maintain your desired heat level at 20/30/60 minute presets, which is handy for falling asleep on bitter nights and not using up all your battery.

Ectoderm

So far quality and fit is pretty on par with what I’d expect from Mosko. Haven’t been able to take advantage of the heating elements Yet

It would be nice to expand the color scheme.

Only Jacket I Bring

I have had an Ectotherm jacket for probably a year and a half. The only liner I would ever bring when I traveled. Perfect for around the fire or in town, great mid weight under a riding jacket and of course all the heat you would want when it gets chilly. Recently I was heading home after six weeks riding around the country, West coast to East coast and back. Riding through Montana a week after eight inches of snow had covered the state, I couldn’t get the jacket to turn on, I have never missed a piece of gear more. When I got home I contacted Mosko, they had me send the jacket to them to have a look. Within a couple of days they contacted me, they sent me a brand new jacket to replace the old original one. Couldn’t believe it. Customer service like this does not exist anymore. I am a self admitted Mosko fan boy for this very reason. Their gear is the best made, toughest you can get and incredibly well thought out. Thanks for everything, truly appreciate it.
